Workers across the United Kingdom will benefit from increased support with a five-month extension of the furlough scheme into Spring 2021, the Chancellor announced today, 5 November.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/...arch-and-increases-self-employed-support

Is this the subtle way of saying, 'Lockdown will be extended to the end of March'?

Or an early election planned by Sunak after Boris resigns

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. David Osland 2025

That's the basic problem, the type of people that want to be Prime Minister are usually the wrong type of people to be Prime minister.

You see a similar problem in large companies whose chiefs have wormed their way up through the ranks.

Boris never wanted to run the Country, he just wanted to be Prime Minister.

Well said DD.

Totally agree, it was just an achievement to him.

Boris speaks in pretext, not just him but a lot of "leaders", these people are full of it and the sooner people realise the better.
We need someone normal in power. smack

Normal! This is not a normal situation for anyone including Boris and the government in fact for the whole world!
No one saw this coming and the virus just seems to be laughing at every effort to control it. Even Sweden now it's starting to really affect them. I get fed up of people thinking they've got all the answers and poring scorn on everything the government do to try and get us through it.
Huge mistakes have been made throughout the world as we all grapple with this horrible virus and that's who I blame , this unseen enemy of us all.

As my point above says.
You'd have to be fecking mental to run this country right now.
