The world in 2030.
It is a book with an idea of what the world be like in 2030 and was written in 1930 by the Earl of Birkenhead.
I have only read the first part of the book and it is very amusing.
"Should chemistry in the next hundred years be able to discover a dozen substances as pleasant and harmless as tobacco, yet each possessing a different effect on the consumer, it will have earned the thanks of every hard-worked man and woman in the world."
He also talks of extending our lives and that old age will be kept at bay.
"The attraction of such an idea, especially to women, who will no longer grow old quickly, is too clear to require emphasis."

A contoversial subject he discusses is ectogenesis and breeding slaves.
"His only happiness would be his task; he would be the exact human counterpart of the worker bee." He does state though this is unlikely to happen.
