I have three books to part with, each of which was produced as a special limited edition (of 500), by the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral: 1) Auld-Lang-Syne - Recollections and Rural Records of Old Claughton, Birkenhead and Bidston with Other Reminiscences 2) A Perambulation of the Hundred of the Wirral in the County of Chester 3) Twixt Mersey and DeeAll are in excellent condition. If interested, please let me know, or ask if you'd like me to post the full description of each. I have recently seen identical titles for Sale at £50, £12 and £40 respectively. So hopefully someone might be interested in the set of three for offers over £60? Thanks

Wonder if you can help me. As a kid I was a choirboy at St Oswald's in Bidston. The churchyard was a magical place, and there was a legend that, while digging a grave back in the 19thC, the workment uncovered an older burial - the skeleton of a giant! I read about it a local History that my parents had - probably either 'Twixt Mersey and Dee' or a book called 'The Hundred of Wirral'. Do you recognise this yarn?
