Somebody not even thinking of stopping at the t-junction of Thornton Common Road and Poulton Hall Road near Raby Mere. Unusually I managed to find the horn, I still prefer them in the centre of the steering wheel, trying to press something on a stalk that moves around isn't very controllable. My car skidded to a stop, roads are pretty greasy at the moment.

Too much of a hurry, didn't show any real signs of slowing down for the line or the little hump-back bridge, she slowed down enough for the turn and was already cutting the corner before she approached the end of the road. I was only going about 25mph and I had my lights on, its a taller vehicle than hers, it would be difficult to miss. I'd just come out of that junction a few minutes before hand and wouldn't dream of approaching the line at that speed, as you say, it is blatantly tricky.

The only redeeming factor was that she didn't hit her brakes as many people do.

Was it ' schools out' time ? Pretty much the same around here at about 3pm. Women driving in a panic at every bend .

Good reflexes there! I've seen people pulling the same kind of stupid stunt at roundabouts... and why? To make up a few minutes? It's not worth the risk of having an accident - just leave the house earlier!
