Except they are still paid by their respective clubs .... £200,000 a week in the case of Kane. The World Cup pay is much less than that unless they get to the semi-finals where they start getting winners bonuses (from £50,000 each to £1.2m depending on position).

It doesn't say what they do with their bonuses just their England pay which is something like £5k? a player. The lowest paid player is about £25k a week from their regular team.
