and me Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer £5K pa. which includes me having to use my own vehicle all over Wirral.

And this doesn't include what the Councillors earn?
Last year i got a £25 per week pay rise as i am team leader [ i hate that phase ] the tax man took half of it, so i wasn't any more better off! probably work more hours in a day than all of the above,
If you look at the budget set out in April, it was around £658 million you can take £5 million off for wages!
The Council tax will be going up again next year by another 4% and what do we get for all this tax we pay? The privilege of living in a shit hole!

Councillors dont earn a wage a such they get an allowance of about £ 10000 per year you can look it up leaders of the groups get more as they should.
Councillors can and do put in the hours often getting less than the minimum wage and paying paying national insurance on those allowances.

Not bad for a Voluntary Unpaid community role and before anybody says anything, first consider the thousands of community volunteers on the Wirral, many doing jobs that the Council and/or Government should be paying them for.
