Interested in any information about a Captain Gilmour lived in Birkenhead around 1910 - 1930 (maybe earlier).
Known house 'The Firs' Blessington (?) Road, now replaced by Gilmour Mount.
May have been a director or founder of a Liverpool Insurance Company.
Not known whether military or naval Captain.
Built a christian meeting hall in Harrowby Road, Birkenhead.
Not known whether married or any descendants.
Would value any photos of the gentleman, his house, etc.

Was he in shipping? Or insurance?
Researched Rankin, Gilmour & Co., Shipowners of Liverpool, but not the same man.
