Actually, DD, the claim is two billion A WEEK. I couldn't get a pic that showed the last two words.
A hundred billion a year seems rather a lot to me, but if we can have blue passports now ...

GDP is a nonsense measure anyway but of course it is used by the EU to tax us as it gives a highly inflated figure of reality and biases against the UK more than the majority of other countries in the EU.
In financial terms balance of trade is the primary factor that matters to the country, to the people its the median (or better still quartile) buying power. Both of those are pretty much independent of GDP in the medium or long term.
