Tried to buy a pack of the disposable knives ( box cutters ) like £1 pack from Pond Shop. No longer selling them and realised it's because of all the knife attacks. Is this a new law ?
Went to ebay and found they only sell the handles separately so you have to buy the blades and fit them yourself.
How many more things are going to be taken off sale like this? I
I use a lot of these and find this situation is really getting out of hand.
Some liquids can't be bought now because of the acid attacks so you'd better stock up on your bleach!
I expect there will be some who say this is a good thing but how far do you go for those who need items for work?

Well, you have a repressive government who believes proles like you and me cannot be trusted. They like nothing more than 'protecting society' with irritating and ineffective laws which make them feel important, sticking up cameras everywhere and monitoring your activity on the internet 24/7. It is getting worse and worse.

I see they are now gearing up to stop people telling them what they think of them by passing laws to control what you can say to an MP. One precious soul claims he is worried about someone pushing him off the platform in front of an underground train. Personally, I feel if he has made himself that unpopular, perhaps he should consider modifying his behaviour.

We are slowly heading for a police state. History shows we have more to fear from excessive state control than from any criminal activity, which, by the way, is actually falling according to the best statistics (The Crime Survey in England and Wales). Of course, this is ignored in favour of police figures which are of poor quality but are - surprise, surprise - going UP!

It will get a lot worse once we are out of the EU, which annoyed the more repressive elements of our governing class by declaring much of what they want to do illegal via the ECHJ or the ECJ.

many a time you go in pound shop and see boxes left in the middle of the walkways with box cutters just laying there shocked now with the do it yourself tills (God I hate them) they can't keep them behind the till and do the 25+ thing

Try a different store. I had no problems getting such a knife last week.

Thanks, Gibbo but these are too good as I tend to leave them around the garden. I found some on Toolstation and have ordered a quantity to keep me going, dearer way of buying but don't have to worry now. This can't be a law as a few places have them if you want to buy in bulk. Amazon isn't selling them but no problem on their American website.
