Here we go ! India are now saying it could take up to ten years for a free trade deal to go through. They may make sure any deal is mutually beneficial !

So is this another attempt to blackmail us into submission of their own desires.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-diplomat-warning-yk-sinha-a8073516.html

Britain needs to accept higher levels of immigration from India if it hopes to sign a free trade deal after Brexit, a senior Indian diplomat has warned....cont.

Well when you go begging you have to take what you can get, no doubt the gates will be swung open to our new friends from the East, all our industries and utilities have been sold off so it only leaves the green and pleasant land.

But you brexiteers told us that the world would be queueing to trade with us and these deals could be set up overnight!

Claims by remainers that trade deals take a LONG time to agree, and that with fewer immigrants from the EU we would have to take more from other countries were contemptuously dismissed as part of 'project fear'.

No use whining now Granny. You wanted it. You voted for it. You've got it!

Enjoy!

We didn't vote for a soft Brexit, there was only one item on the table and that was to leave the EU ie a hard Brexit.

All this faffing around that is going on now is weakening our position, if we hard Brexit we would be in a position of strength.

We are being weak against the EU and all the other countries think they can negotiate a better deal at our cost because we are weak.

I thought the vote was to leave the EU, I don't recall anything other than that, I don't remember leave the EU via a hard brexit, in fact the distinct lack of information left many open to the misinformation being peddled by the brexiteers.

No problem, we just stop giving them all the money we've been sending them for years, it might focus their minds a bit.

You didn't vote for a soft or a hard brexit. You voted for something you clearly didn't understand and had only the most tenuous notion of. Every attempt to point out that there were serious implications in leaving were brushed aside and called 'project fear'. You ignored the problems of Northern Ireland, and our financial commitments to the EU, despite the fact that these were clearly spelled out. You ignored the status of expatriates on both sides of the border, in preference for mindless slogans like 'Taking back control' or 'They need us more than we need them!' and confused notions of British sovereignty. You ignored the fact that trade agreements take decades, not days. (The clue is in the word 'agreement'. Both sides have to AGREE or it doesn't happen. And both sides seek advantage. Tricky in areas where it is a zero-sum game!)

Well, you've got it now, and reality is beginning to sink in.

Just face the fact that you made a stupid mistake and get on with making the best you can of it. It won't be very good, but there is nobody to blame but yourselves.

You might be interested to learn that you leader - the man who led you into this cock-up - N. Farage Esq - will continue to enjoy a £73,000 a year pension for his efforts.

It seems that "Walking away" is ok as long as he continues to receive his pension!

He'd get the same pension (or more) if Brexit didn't happen, its hardly an influencing matter to him.

.. Oh ! and Lord and Lady Kinnock ? Six state pensions between them ! Lord Kinnock on a £90,000 EU pension alone.

That's just one example. Should they all give up their pensions ? With a bit of luck they might spend it in the UK instead of the high life in Brussels.

Don't under estimate Brexiteers, to call them stupid is very derogatory just because they don't bend to your thought process.

Do you agree to India's possible making of these demands as acceptable ?
This is down to the corrupt attitude and games played by other world leaders, not the Brexiteers.

Just as an add-on.

http://christophereverard.co.uk/kinnocks-10-million-pay-off-and-the-eu-secret-bank-accounts/

Kinnock’s £10 MILLION Pay Off and the EU SECRET BANK ACCOUNTS

The KINNOCKS SECRET FORTUNE: Campaigners from Open Europe, which argues for greater transparency, calculated the Kinnock’s multi-million-pound earnings from EU allowances, wages and pension entitlements over a 15-year period. Their salaries and perks included: A total of £775,000 in wages for Mrs Kinnock and £1.85m for her husband, adding up to £2,625,000; Allowances for Mrs Kinnock’s staff and office costs of £2.9m; A £64,564 “entertainment allowance” for Lord Kinnock; A total of five publicly-funded pensions, worth £4.4m, allowing them to retire on £183,000 a year; A housing allowance that allowed them both to claim accommodation costs even though, as a married couple, they lived in the same house in the Belgian capital between 1995 and 2004.

I don't see whatever the Kinnocks (for whom I have no particular affection) are up to is particularly relevant. They have not built careers devoted to trashing the EU. Indeed they have served it well, and 'earned' their excessive pensions

Farage has done nothing but attack it. That's the subtle difference.

Why not try and think it through again ab initio and see if you can see it this time.

No I don't agree, they should be told in no uncertain terms that its not on, if they want trade fine but put away the demands, that's what should happen, but we have been put at a disadvantage and now have to consider unreasonable demands and India wont be the last, there are many with knives to sharpen, what is the term oft used by our American cousins payback.

Looks like Eire has got itself a deal in the great give away, Tories open for business, brexit at any cost, the world must be laughing at the downfall of the UK, the country sold out on a raft of lies and the incompetence of a PM that has no authority and is in fact only a puppet of the Tory right wing.
