Took this in part/ex for another vehicle, was thinking of turning it into a camper but decided against it as it's not big enough for me. Can seat 6 people in the passenger compartment and 2 in the front so 8 in total including the driver. Has the taxi meter and window 'For hire' light still fitted, also has the partition with fire extinguisher and first aid kit. It's had a new starter and immobiliser sensor ring in the last month or so. Mileage is galactic, 270k odd, this has been around the block a few times. Bodywork is clean but the plastics are shocking, everything that was once black plastic has been hand painted in gloss paint by the looks of it, the pics don't shows its full "glory". Smokes a bit on start up, clears after a min when warm, I reckon it's valve seals. N/S/F wheel bearing is noisey so will need doing very soon. Few other bits need doing, come and have a look and go over it. Make a cheap van or day camper or even a good breaker as the partitions sell for £300+ on their own. Open to swaps and part/ex. Based in Birkenhead. Text 07397129188 and I can send pics by reply (Text or whatsapp)

Smoking on startup might be something a little simpler than the valve seals. When was it last fully serviced, including glow plugs?
Although the plugs aren't needed to start these days unless its around -20, they are needed for post starting heating and burning of fuel.
The diesel temperature sensor might also be faulty - that doesn't put the engine management light on, and won't be warming the diesel prior to reaching the engine.
Someone local with the Lexia3 diagnostic software will probably be able to tell you more (a generic code reader won't show a faulty diesel temperature sensor).

Sold now guys sorry. Smoke turned out to be a bit of a blocked exhaust, 20 min on the motorway sorted it out.
