Anyone use Paypal on here, and has a debit or credit card attached to it? -- can I presume its normal to have to give Paypal the security number (3 on the back) when you log the card details with them?

Yes, It's normal, otherwise they couldn't debit it. I've never had any problems with them.

They are pretty good, Venice. Many people use Paypal. In the last couple of weeks, I bought something through Paypal, of which I have not received any communication or details regarding delivery. I contacted Paypal and they have reimbursed me without any problems.

Hi granny. Yes I have used them a little bit in the past , but actually registered the card maybe 10yrs or so years ago , and now ive got an updated c.card , Ive got to update the info Paypal holds too but of course couldnt remember that far back what details I had to give them ! Thought maybe just the number and exp dates might be enough. All updated now , so hopefully next time I use it , all will be fine.

I love paypal. I also have a paypal access card so can spend money from my paypal account in a shop via their own special card. It costs to withdraw money but not to spend it in shops so is really useful.

Likewise, I have used paypal and ebay extensively for over 10 years, never had any trouble that they haven't resolved in my favour.

Hi Venice, I have used Ebay since 2012 and been with Paypal since it's inception and have had my card registered with them all this time and have had no trouble whatsoever. In fact, Paypal has refused to pay out for a couple of purchases I made from dodgy sellers so preventing me from losing my money. I find one of the benefits of Paypal membership is that you can buy an item when you have no money in your Paypal account, the money is then collected from your bank via the direct debit you have with Paypal at no extra cost. Some people might not be too happy with this arrangement but I have found it extremely useful over the years and as I said earlier I have had no trouble at all. Fingers crossed I haven't jinxed myself now. thumbsup

No problem here either venice. Been using for many years. Just remember you do get charged for receiving money if you sell things on ebay etc approx. 3.4% plus 20p. Sending money between friends and family is free ( ive only just found that out on paypal website)
