When we brexit there may be an option for individuals to pay for EU Citizenship.

Would you "buy" EU Citizenship? Assuming the cost will be around passport price, it could be expensive for families.

Not a very good poll considering no one knows what the benefits or drawbacks would be. Lot of people might just go for it if it meant it made it easier passing passport control going on holiday.
Newspaper article bit misleading "Mr Goerens said: “Between 15 and 30 million British citizens deeply regret Brexit". Sounds like figures plucked out the air and is he trying to imply they are people who voted for Brexit.

Basically you would be paying £10 for a work visa.

I think I'd rather be an EU Citizen than a British Subject. Note the words 'Citizen' and 'Subject'.

Dual citizenship might also give you some protection against the UK government and the nuttier laws it attempts to inflict on us from time to time. I suspect an EU passport would be cheaper than a UK one too. And if the UK collapses economically, which seems quite likely the way things are going, it would be easier to jump ship and go live in Europe somewhere.

Finally, it would probably allow one to transfer some money into a Euro account in France or Germany if the UK Bankers give us a repeat performance of what they did in 2008. This too is distinctly possible, and will probably be even worse next time.

Depends what you are subject to. You can be freer as a "subject" than a "citizen" As a "citizen" of the EU you are "subject" to EU laws from people you have no control over.
At least as a British subject I can have some control (even though it may be illusionary) over who is in power

Really?

You are indeed deluded as you suspect. You have no control over the civil service in the UK, who are every bit as much 'faceless unelected bureaucrats' as those in the EU. And are you seriously claiming that our MPs are honest and trustworthy with a series of scandals about expense fiddling and votes for cash stings.

Do you know that lobbyists in the UK parliament now have to be 'accredited'? In other words journalists who set up these sting operations are now filtered out so that MPs and 'lords' can continue unworried by any risk of their doings being exposed.

You can vote for an MEP as you can for an MP. What's the difference?

Take back control indeed! What a laugh!

With that little option in mind, let's wait and see what happens after Sunday. The markets are pretty worried and a NO could lead to a virtual collapse of the Euro Zone.

The Germans took a soft hit on the downturn by getting rid of their "Guest" workers. In the event of any kind of visa you would never reach the same status as a resent migrant.I would rather be a first class Brit than a second class European temp.

An MEP has very little control over what the EU does.

The UK has more UKIP MEPs than any other party, does it make any difference? No!
