I think this should be in the chit chat forum but I want to know the age of the old old codgers. (history)
Chris, how old? your mind is very sharp
Bert?
Upton?
Anyone over 60?
Not being nosy but I read a lot of the history forums and I am fascinated by your recollection of times gone by and your contributions to the history forum.
My Nan's and Grandad's were very much a part of my life and have fond memories but regretted not asking more about there life, kids eh!
My Grandad was on the ball, William (Billy) Landrum. (Moreton) There was an article about him in the Liverpool Echo, saving a shipmate whilst he was injured himself, when his ship was bombed during WWII. Can you find it Bert?
I am a young pup at 43 by the way grin

According to Venice, I was about 80 in 1956, so how old does that make me now ?

Well Lolly, that is because we ARE ladies. A lady never discloses her age.

I am as old as I need to be given the circumstances. Havent tried the kids entrance at Prenton Park for a few years though--do they still have a separate turnstile. Always thought it a bit scary leaving me dad to go in one turnstile and he in another.

If suspicions are aroused, one should always be on guard. Ladies, my suspicions are on Mikeeb. Is he looking for a lady ?

I'm 49ish and stunning, Mikey. A figure like an hour glass... X

Wow, so there's a few of us queuing for the Pearly Gates. With the state of my health, I'm not sure I'll see 80 next March.

To all you "ol bugg*rs" treading down the grass ahead of me. When my father was not so well I kept asking him if he knew the way to the Pearly Gates and instead of quoting the bible verse (because of stroke) he just kept saying John 3:16. Which is one of the most searched verses. In the good old King James Version
John 3:16King James Version (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So no excuses now--

Fish, that must have been very comforting for your Father, asking him if he knew the way to the pearly gates.
