Has anyone tried riding the route from New Brighton to wherever it ends in Cheshire?
I was thinking of doing it along with a video recorder and editing it down into portions.
Where is the eventual end of the route?

So Route 56 is essentially, the Wirral Way, albeit not as far as Hooton?
I remember walking the Wirral Way quite a few times in my youth, and we always ended up at Seacombe Ferry (unless we were really running behind schedule, in which case we would end up terminating at Moreton Shore).

Been there wore the t-shirt done seacombe to parkgate and to hooton many of times great ride. Only reason i went on this trip as it was great to stop off at Parkgate for seafood and ice cream then continue to hooton then cause i was lazy got on the train.. But sometimes i road back through to west kirby to get dinner then get the train home cause i would of been knackered..

Ah Cheers; given todays traffic, I think it would be much safer to just do the Wirral Way lol.
