I think its safest to give it a good few weeks and let all the other fookers across the world download it first and find out what, if any, problems exist.

Look at the state SP2 was in when that was publicly released, the amount of trouble it caused for people...

To be honest, if you've just installed it, that doesnt tell me much; its only when you need to do something important you find Microsoft have made a change for the worst, or even worse, completely fooked things up.

SP2 didnt have any "noticeable" out of the box issues; it was only as users delved deeper they found things were not working.

aye lol well ive kept the uninstall cause if any shit happens i dont want to happen then i can just install it but i installed it cause i wanted to make sure it wasnt a release candidate before i popped it on here and yep mate your right we should wait for a couple of weeks for peeps to play around with it but to be 100% honest i aint noticed anything different (YET) apart from the boot time.. But yep peeps as matty said if you dont want to try it then dont just wait untill the shit hits the fan and we find out if its ok or not hehe..

Ive just downloaded it.
But to be honest my sp2 systems are running sweet.
I wonder what its fixing?

Would be handy to have an sp3 exe when its rolled out in full.

The downloaded exe is WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe
Just for reference.

Ive now deleted it.

There's a link to a 324 Kb PDF near the bottom of the page which claims to be an overview.
