well up to now ive put 256 vented discs on the front from a mk2 1.8, ive lowered it all round and put the gte wheels on it.
Sort out all the rusty bits arches, sills and rust treat the whole car.

i want a gte kit for it and make it fit a 5 door, and have it all dark grey at the bottom half of the car. thats all i want to do to it up to now \:D

ill get some pics tomorrow, just sorting out insurance

how many 27 year old cars do you see on the road??
looking after "old" cars might not be of much interest to you, but no need to take the piss.
im sure it will get a lot more looks than a modern looking car, even if it is to laugh at it \:\) i think its retro cool

Brightspark, if you ever want to sell the car, I'd 100% buy it off you. When you want to get rid, keep that in mind as I've been looking for one for ages.
I missed out on a standard GTE last year for 500 quid and I'm still gutted. \:\( I really, really want one.

best hot hatch of its day, golf gti had nothing on it. keep looking, usually get about 1 every week on ebay

tried me dads cav wheels on the car today, fox evo 3s and i think they look raaaaaaather good, so there staying

was a bit unsure with putting silly wheels on it, might change me mind and go back to 14s \:\)

bodywork looks a bit shabby, i was gently flatting it down with some fine wet and dry then cutting it back up, but got tired halfway through so never finished

Needs smaller wheels (with a bit more width) and a bit of lowering.

i agree 17s are to big for a small car, 16s are biggest you should go, its already been lowered once lol and the tyres are 205s \:\)
