Smoking while driving ?
I was having a fag while driving the other day and thought "Hmmmmm how long till they ban this"
I think its the same as eating talking on the phone etc etc.
Your still doing summat to distract you while driving.
So how long till they ban it guys and gals ?

In Scotland smoking at the wheel is banned, and is punishable by a fixed penalty of £60.00. In England, if you are considered to be comprimising you're control of the car as a result of smoking whilst driving, then you can be punished. Im sure Auditastic will be able to confirm the full law's on this; although I know it was added to the highway code a few month's back, the first addition's to the highway code in 8 years iirc.

lol...smoking and driving is unlawful with regard the very complex smoking laws...if its a works vehicle or taxi etc etc.
With regard to smoking in your own car it isnt unlawful per se...but the offence of not being in proper control of your vehicle still stands ...
but there has to be some evidence of not being in proper control...ie you took your hands off the wheel to light up..or swerved slightly as a result...etc etc.
it goes for eating at the wheel...remember the teacher who got done for eating an apple at the wheel... same thing...she wasnt in proper control as she didnt take the corner properly and got her ass handed to her in court when she appealed.

I was having a fag while driving the other day and thought "Hmmmmm how long till they ban this" ...and I thought this was about smoking when driving  Was he on your knee, between your legs....

My dad is a truck driver, lives in his wagon 5 days a week, althought he doesnt carry passengers, he was pulled by the M.O.T and told he cant smoke in his truck. So far the only thing thats keeping him from getting a fine is the fact it's his own wagon that he paid for, thus not owned by the company for anyone else to use.. or something like that lol
