There are actually loads of great places on the Wirral to take some stunning shots. And camera's and the like dont make too much difference sometimes, as some of these shots were taken on phone camera's, most were with a decent quality Schneider lens Kodak though.
I have kept the images small to protect the intellectual rights, as one day I plan on using them for somthing hehe.
Bidston Woods - A bench taken in the snow
Leasowe Lighthouse - at 132mm optical zoom
Leasowe Nature Trail - too saturated damn lol
 Leasowe Lighthouse
Leasowe Nature Trail with the lighthouse in the background
Bidston Windmill - taken on a Nokia 6680.
Hadlow Road, Willaston - taken on a Nokia 6680
Eastham Woods - taken on a Nokia 6680

 Bidston Windmill
Got loads more, but cant find them on me laptop lol!

Heres some more that I took yesterday:
Leasowe Lighthouse - Actually this one was taken at about 4pm today, I changed the colours as ye can see and really like it, so its my laptop background atm.
Bidston Windmill - the colours came out so well as I used the chrome setting on me camera and post edited the contrast, it doesnt really look that colourful atm lol.
Bidston Windmill - taken from the opposite side to the above one.
Bidston Woods - I changed it to a 100% red hue and it looked good but decided the original was better.
With a bit of imagination and camera trickery, even on horrible days Wirral can look okayish lol. I have some awsome shots of the Liverpool waterfront... but I suppose its not strictly Wirral hehe.

Heres a few of them then (it wasnt a good day weather wise yesterday, visability across the mersey was hazy so excuse the photos being a bit flat).
Liverpool Red - The three graces lol. Ive made this one Liverpool Red as the haze blocked out a fair amount of colour when the photo was taken (only ISO 100 so it was low ISO) so it didnt look so good in colour. Thought of red for LFC (Liverpool Reds lmao).
Royal Liver Building - taken at 300mm focal legnth. Not good colour again, too much haze, but I like the shot.
New Liverpool - you wouldnt even think thats Liverpool as I took the shot without any of the older buildings on the right and it looks far too modern, but it is, and its set to become bigger too. Looks like a mini detroit to me lol.
The Waterfront - this isnt a stitched image, its a single shot taken at 28mm (a very wide focal legnth) - i wanted to get the new stadium in as well but will need a wider lens to do so. Gonna get one off ebay soon anyway, seen em for £50 lol.
Expanding Liverpool - This is another shot of the new Liverpool, but showing that they are building even further to the left. Quality isnt so good as it was cropped off a wide waterfront shot like the one above so the pixel counts a bit on the low side.
I have some really good ones with the ferry in front of the Liver Buildings etc, but I took them in RAW format (an uncompressed photo [like 13MB] taken as the lens see's it with no image processing by the camera) and Photoshop CS2 cant open them (need the new CS3) - i can view them in Finepix, but aint worked out to save them as JPEG yet (even Mark can't work it out yet and hes a wizard at photo editing) so I cant put them up yet
I think with all the new buildings going up, Liverpool is looking less and less like Liverpool every month. But its good, and so long as the traditional waterfont is maintained, they can built a mini new york to the left of it lol.

Matty i know what you mean.
i parked down by the waterfront the other day and thought the same thing! looks like a mini new york/ japan
imagine what these pics will be like in 50years time people will laugh at the 'old stadium' and small buildings.

Here is some more photo's I took on Saturday evening, twas a gorgeous sunset. I had the camera in completely auto mode as I was too tired to mess around with exposure settings and ISO's etc, and I didnt realise until I got home that it has a "Sunset Mode" setting on it - far too many settings on it haha
Bird By Sunset - I noticed the birds flying around the sun as it was going down, but by the time I got me cam zoomed in and focused (had it on C.AF, manual would have been faster), they were gone, had to wait ages for em to come back again lol! Total zoom legnth was the camera's absolute maximum with the stock lens of 21.4x!
Boat and Bird By Sunset - I consider myself VERY lucky to have got the chance to get a shot like this, never mind actually being able to get it half decently. Again had to zoom to the max to get it haha!
Boat by Sunset - I took a few shots like this, some are more like a silhouette (the beautys of the auto setting, can never decide what exposure is correct lol), I think it looks good at least lol.
Bird By Sunset Sky - This photo was very hard to get believe it or not, took about 4 attempts, the birds kept pissing off on me before I could get the shot lmao!
Boats At Hoylake - Not much to say about it, but this is the type of shot I went down for before I realised there was going to be a really great sunset oppurtunity.
Meols Common Lake - I didnt even know that the lake and patch of land by Leasowe Lighthouse was called Meols Common, but there is an old "Corporation Of Birkenhead" sign post hidden in loads of grass saying so lol!
The old sign saying its Meols Common, its very hidden away in tallish grass now! I wonder when The Corporation Of Birkenhead ceased to exist, I assume it was the 70's at least??
Ducks On Meols Common - Just a random photo of ducks on Meols Common - but I like the ripples they are making in the water lol!
Random Leaves - A random photo of some colourful leaves on the lake at Meols Common.

The look great, its a pity it was on a phone camera. The lake one turned out excellent though.
I will have to pop down there one day, I didnt realise it looked so sweet nowadays! The work they have done has certainly paid off!

The first one is very nice, the second one is iffy, the 3rd one has caught the suns glare on the lens (intentionally id guess), im undecided on if its a good thing or a bad thing atm, its a really great picture though.
