start of main content

Household Waste Recycling CentreMerseyside Waste Disposal Authority operates three centres in Wirral where you can dispose of items not accepted in any of the wheelie bins, larger items or excess waste and recycling:

* Bidston Moss, Wallasey Bridge Road, Birkenhead.
* Greenbank Road, West Kirby.
* Mount Road, Clatterbridge.

Opening Times

They are open seven days a week except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day between the following times:

* 8.00am to 5.00pm, 1st October to 31st March (inclusive)

If you are visiting a Recycling Centre in a van, flatbed or using a trailer (between 2 - 3 metres long) you will need a permit.

Don't need a permit if trailer is less than 2 metres.
