I'm not much of a cyclist but that's good news.

Yeah my dad went across on his bike earlier this week, seems quite nice.

It was available before but not officially for the past 21 years, and if you wonder why it has taken so long ask the rspb they are the ones who have objected to friendly cyclist ringing their bells scaring the mallards.

Been over it a number of times and it's just great. Very handy for Chester and North Wales. The boardwalk section over the marshes at Burton Point is most impressive.

Give it a go. There's even a little cafe opened at the Burton end of The Harp section. smile

Its great - you can get from wirral to Chester and back with over 95% off road... and the little cafe in the farm by Burton Marshes is also wirth a visit..

If it was already in place as pacef8 says, why has it cost £550k to build?

Here's a map of the location: http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/route/west-from-chester
