just a heads up guys, the sow from the roof of mine has slid off in one go onto the street below, im guessing heat from house causing melting and the flux in temperature has caused it all to slide. please be careful when walking around the streets, id hate to think what would of happened if someone was underneaty. im guestimating a ton of the stuff at least
it took the sky dish along for the ride as well
could be bad, especially people with prams/buggies!!
Same happened to us i was at work but my husband felt the house shake then heard a bang outside to find a huge heap of snow in the garden.
Me too, it made a hell of a noise
Good that the fall of snow didn't hurt anyone. Houses used to have snowboards to prevent this.

Friend of mine had a chunk of the guttering pulled off, too. I imagine a snowslide'd be worse on a smooth slate or tiled roof - less grip.
its slate, the whole thingslid off as a oner, it seemed the lower layer was ice, and yes a pram or child or even anyone would of got hurt. snowguard sounds like a good idea!!!

What were you doing, keeping a pig up there in the first place?
