I don't drive to there and have only just noticed this notice in St Werburghs Square.
Have they woke up and realized the need to reduce the previous car park charges to attract customers

About time, more expensive to park in Birkenhead than Rome apparently

We just need Liscard to follow their lead now. They don't even have free parking after 3pm

I take your point, but if I was going to shop all day (lunch included) it wouldn't be in Birkenhead.

I wonder if this will just fill the car park before 9.00 am with the local work force?

I Cant wait for the Summer and it gets dark at 10pm
"Park till its Dark" lol

Its going to take along time for shoppers to trust parking in Birkenhead after the wardens and meters have killed off the driver.

Why bother with Town in a car?
For Example drive to Upton and get Sainsburys Argos Mc Donald's or evern go to Bromborough for the Car Shopping Experience without any hassles. I think locally Croft Park does a good job for the shopper and his car.

Sadly this is a little bit too late if WBC and the owners of the Grange are trying to bring people back to town. It will not make a shopping experience in Birkenhead any more pleasant...to attract shoppers you have to offer a range of shops and a fairly pleasant enviroment. Birkenhead has lost so many well know stores that are replaced with cheap one pound stores, assorted charity shops {which I agree with wholeheartedly as they are very needed and help worthy causes} and an assortment of small clothes stores. Its just not enough for a pleasant shopping trip or to attract people back to Birkenhead. Many years ago before they made it a concrete jungle it is today...it was a nice well laid out shopping area with a good variety of shops. Now it lacks something...offering £2 a day parking wont bring the heart and soul back into Birkenhead.

Actually there are 2 car parks in Liscard that offer free parking after 3pm! There's quite large one behind the Tesco's opposite the Shoe Market and one opposite Muzzy's kebab shop/the Oak Pub! Both of these are free after 3! I live in wallasey and use these regularly! Thanks :-)
