if anybody happens to nearly get rammed of the road by a flat bed van registration WJ60 YTX then please report it. not going to name the company on here as I'm sure most of the drivers are decent, just watch out for this one. I believe the drivers rotate vans so you could also be unfortunate to come across this driver in another company van. you'll know who he is as he'll be driving an inch away from your bumper, if he decides to overtake you he'll do so by heading in to on coming traffic and then swerve in front of you last minute and nearly take the front end off your car.

Beware!!!!

I trust you have reported it?

i sure have, the idiot probably forgot he had his company name and telephone number on the back. whoever answered the phone at the company has said they will check the sat nav and log to see who was driving. here's hoping the van also has a tracker as it should record his speed at around 70 in a 50 zone as well. just a shame I haven't got a video camera linked up to my car to show how close he was driving to the car in front of him.

no, it was a white flat bed van. happened to me on the welsh road just after shotwick lights. the company seems to be a well known one in birkenhead. hopefully the person we spoke to on the phone will have a word with the person who was driving it.

also you should have reported it to the police for dangerous driving

yeah i'm fine, you kind've get used to idiots on the road after driving the same route for 8 years. probably the closest I have come to being involved in a crash tbh. just makes me angry more than anything, you just feel like jumping out your car, opening their door and taking their keys and chucking them in a field.

I was thinking of it but it would've been my word against theirs as I didn't have proof of what happened. I did also drive to the company an hour later to make sure it was definitely their van, luckily I have quite a good memory and remembered the reg no. There it was parked outside so I gave them a quick call, hopefully they should deal with it.

Heres hoping but just for future usually the police keep a record of the complaint and then if they get reported again they get done

I think the company should be named and shamed because as if your correct that the van drivers rotate vans then effectively everyone will be worried about every flat bed van the come across and lets be honest there's going to be a good few on the wirral and to behonest there are a lot of idiots who drive on the roads in cars and vans on the wirral and do we have time to read every reg plate as we go......nope...........if we want to talk about idiot drivers what about the many that seems to think that coming from wallasey over duke street bridge to the round about on corporation road seem to think the whole of that is dual laned when it isn't and the same coming the other way, wish people were just patient and have a bit of common sense.

Silentreader people have only recently been using it as dual lane due to the congestion caused by the tower road bridge being down.

The only concern I have around that area are the motor cyclists cutting the traffic, beware, they go in all directions.
Posted By: SilentReader Re: idiot van driver - 1st Dec 2012 10:40am
you can't just treat a single laned road as 2 lanes because of congestion top tip to avoid the congestion which isn't that bad is to either leave earlier or later, it's selfish to be forcing your way down queuing traffic and then there's the possibility of a crash being caused because the 2 cars were going the same way and neither would yeild on the round about then holding us all up because of it.

I agree to about the motor cyclists seen one almost got taken out by a bus doing what I said above

Yes, I always leave late for work and late before I go home to avoid the congestion, leaving on time the traffic is ridiculous.
Cars in the middle of the roundabout blocking all traffic, people pulling out on each other, traffic right up duke street etc.
