Does anyone know why Arrowe Road leading to to Arrowe Park had been cornered off by Police - can't get to the park coming from any angle in a car. Not sure if I can by foot - just wondering if anyone has heard anything?

Thanks

Jxx
Just did a quick search on the net and it says road closures due to resurfacing and Arrowe road is one of them - Oh how boring or what, lol, thought something interesting was going on!! - but I suppose that's good as well :-)

Road re-surfacing on the M53 mate. It was down to just the hard shoulder the night before last.

Doesn't explain police on Arrowe Park Road though.

Definitely.
A NUMBER of roads in Wirral will be closed next week for resurfacing work.

The junction of Arrowe Road, Arrowe Brook Lane and Arrowe Brook Road in Greasby will be closed on Saturday from midday-4pm and Sunday between the same time.

West Kirby Road in Saughall Massie will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, between 8am and midday, from its junction with Saughall Massie Road to its junction with Saughall Road.

In order to maintain bus services within the Saughall Massie Village area the existing no entry between Applegarth and Saughall Massie Road will be revoked to maintain two-way traffic flow which will be used as a short diversion.

Oxton Road in Birkenhead will be closed from its junction with Whetstone Lane to its junction with Balls Road East, between 7pm-midnight from Monday, March 21 until Friday, March 25.

Access at the junction of Ball's Road, Balls Road East and Oxton Road will also be restricted during parts of the week.

While the work is carried out, traffic will be diverted via Whetstone Lane, Borough Road, Balls Road East and vice versa.

Information boards have been erected to pre-warn road users of the proposed works.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.

A council spokesman said: "Consultation has been carried out with Merseytravel and Merseyside Police.

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and we will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum."

I knew I'd seen something in the week about this smile

But surely that wouldn't include police?
Unless they'd just put their cars there so they could get out of the police station. I've not been up that way today so I could be spouting complete boxxol wink
