Im going to be working away in Fier, Albania, starting next month and im just wondering if anyone has ever been out there?
I done a lot of research on the net and it looks like a pretty boring town, mainly industrial with some ancient ruins quite close by.
Im just looking for things to do once im there, any info would be great!

it will be very quiet over there as all the albanians are over here

my daughter was there a couple of years ago with her then albanian boyfriend.went to most places but at the time they were building a new power station and the power would go off and they would be sitting in the dark.

I've been told power ect is fine now but i'm more worried about sitting in the apartment with nothing to do. I get bored very easy and know I will just end up on the beer!
