Are the grey bins and the black bins for the same type of recycling? Ive noticed a few people have them.

Don't know about black bins.
Grey are for recycling - plastic, paper, cardboard etc
Green is for rubbish - land fill
Brown is for garden waste

Ok thanks.
Do you know if you can request for recycle bins to be removed coz they are not wanted, so you are left with none?

Coz that is what some idiot has done here.

You can get a free wheelie bin if you phone the council or streetscene (whatever they're called). We've had our's stolen numerous times, even had them set on fire.

I ordered 4 for our block of apartments and ive been told today by the council that someone from the block has requested them to be removed.

Carnt see them being allowed to state to the council if they want them or not, everyone is suppose to be recycling now.
