I was on a bus at the front the other day in Liverpool coming back to Birkenhead and i seen a male get on and show his solo pass which was an area B and the driver sneakily said let me look at that and as he got it into his own hands he took it off the male and said you cannot use that here and didn't give him it back.

I thourt this was terrible because the lad didn't sneak on or anything like that he just shown his pass and its up to the driver to say you cant travel with that pass in Liverpool but too take it off him and keep it was bad.

What are the rules for this? I know on the rear of passes it says authorized staff have the right to withdraw this ticket but who is authorized staff? We dont know.

I know for a fact i would flip if this had happend to me and i know i would of got that pass back from who ever the driver was.
''authorised staff'' can only be drivers or inspectors, surely.
The fella took a gamble and lost. Losing his pass was the risk he took and he probly knew this, which is why he accepted it so readily?!
