HI guys just a little information required please.

I have managed to scrape some funds together and bought a new Freezer and need to dispose of the old one can I just take it to the tip.
If I phone a guy called (Erick) who charges £27 to collect Items,
but I got told they don't collect fridges/freezers.

Also is there a O.A.P service available.thanks.Gerry

Hi gerry, they have to be degassed so you cant take it to the tip, I think John Major next to Bidston tip used take them but I don't know if he charges.

You can simply take it along to the Bidston tip (sorry recycling centre), no need to book in or anything but if you are taking it in a van you may need a permit. You can ring 0151 255 1444 to check if you need one.

I think degassing is the council's responsibility. We[l, it was, pre-brexit. It may well be some of the EU 'red-tape' the leavers want to get rid of. Buggers up the ozone layer and gives you skin cancer, but who cares. It saves moey!
