Hi all

Can anyone recommend a joiner to replace my front door, and possibly the door frame aswell please?

Are you not tempted to go for UPVC ! Have used direct view in Prenton just for a front door and arched frame and were ok.

I wonder what they charged you fish? Five years ago my neighbour got a new upvc door and frame (not arched) with two small half height side windows from Everest for which he paid £3,000 pounds. Seemed a bit steep to me. It's a bit like getting British Gas in to do a job and paying more than twice the price you'd pay an equally well qualified private contractor.

I don't like the upvc doors for a few reasons, would rather stick to the good old wood

Cost around £650. . You pay about another £500 if you go for a secure by design door. Have seen some lovely wooden doors on me rounds but some hardwood ones can cost more than UPVC
