Can anyone cast any light on this. In Rightmove there is a plot of land on Seaview Meadows (opposite Lagan House) in Leasowe Road. Described as property reference 101559000627 it is freehold and guide price £500. Plot 11a, seems to be the site of an old military building and lies off the roads amongst the site of a number of other military hutments which have an access to the road.
This is strange as the site would have been requisitioned for war use then reverted to the owner (Wirral Council?).
Looks to me like a "key" to open the entire site for possible development. NB Auction is in London on 25th February and was only advertised 22n January.

Me again. Found an article in Liverpool. An IoM company bought it and is trying to get planning permission to develop it for residential use. So far no Application has been made but they have been in discussion with the Council.
This sale is still a little bizarre...

Although defended, it is in a flood zone so pretty worthless.

I sat in my Grandaughters flat during the last spring tides watching the tide washing over the sea wall and surging down the service road. So the protection is pretty minimal.
Having said that they are certainly up to something!

When they built houses by Fender Farm, they banked the land up by a good few feet before building started. The gardens will probably be bogs when there are flooding issues, but the houses themselves should be okay. Wonder if they'd do something similar off leasowe Road?

Their was a plan for IOM hostel to be on the wirral but things changed over there for some reason so at the moment the plan must be shelved.

Sustainable Planning Ltd. IOM.

Hmmm ? Off shore tax haven. I don't think I'd have too much confidence in them, looking at links.

It didn't stop houses being built on flood plains next to the Birket near Moreton. A backhander to someone there, I'm sure of it.
