Can anybody give me advice on how long unopened white wine (screw top) can be kept? Came across them in back of kitchen cupboard and I am not a wine drinker at all, they were presents. One is 2009 the other 2010, have to,d someone she can have them but don't want to give them if they are bad.i know some wine can be kept many years but these are not the dead expensive ones. Tried looking it up but conflicting views. Thanks.

as long as the seal is good and there's no signs of rust inside the cap (very unlikely) then they should be good. the fact they've been in the back of a cupboard not exposed to sunlight falls even more in the favour of the "good to drink" argument.

i'm very confident they'll be fine to drink.

Thanks J-demo that sounds good to go then.

Most white wines, with the exception of sweet whites like a Sauternes are meant to be drunk young. The fact that they have been kept in the dark will help but I wouldn't want to offer them to anyone who appreciates wine.
