How would you do it?

Need to get there next weekend and it's been literally years since i last took a bus anywhere. I know there's a few ways of going about it but what would you all say is best?

1) Train to conway park and then get the 1 to cheshire oaks

2) train to ellesmere port and catch the shuttle bus

3) other (please say in comments)

I believe there used to be a bus that went from new brighton by morrisons to cheshire oaks (albeit round the houses) but i don't know if that still runs? Anyone any idea?

Cheers!
Option 1) No1 bus from B'head to Cheshire Oaks takes about 45 mins and costs about £4 return.

No knowledge about the trains,
This may be of help..... Bache railway station is on the Chester line from Birkenhead.

Bus from new Brighton to birkenhead bus station then it's either the number 1 or number 2 to Chester
Both go to Chester but 1 bus goes to Chester zoo while the other goes to cheshire oaks and blue plant.
Perhaps a day rider ticket may be a good idea.
Have a look at Traveline http://www.traveline.info/

It lets you enter start and end locations, date and start time, and will work out the best routes for you. Usually gives you 3 or 4 options, and shows total journey time, scheduled departure and arrival times for each leg of the journey, and any walking you may have to do (eg between bus stop and station).

The Bache station option suggested by McArthur Glen actually seems to be the slowest route at 1hr 38mins. The train to Conway St/No 1 bus seems to be one of the quickest at around 1hr 25 - 1hr 30 (depending on time of day). Another option suggested is train to Ellesmere Port then no.36 bus to the Oaks
