I believe it was originally going to be a gym with an outdoor pool, but fell through.

Neptune’s revised plans for the lido building – which had initially intended to be a gym – mean the swimming pool – will be redeveloped as a child’s splash pool.

Whatever they promised us a swimming pool in the development, this is the JOKER the clowncelors in the clown hall all fell for it, ASK ANY CLOWNCELOR IS THIS WHAT THEY EXPECTED AS A SWIMMING POOL they are ashamed to admit it, the swans got a better deal with the boating lake! they should fill it for the sake of the swans, ASK Neptune what LIDO means

I seem to recall health and safety reasons is why they don't use the pool.

Maybe they could donate the rubble from the demolition of the Europa pools to the people of Wallasey to build one. Birkenhead have one and it gets a new one, New Brighton promised one and gets nothing mad
