I think there's a Wirral photography group on Facebook, and a couple of other groups which have members with DSLRs. Hanging out with them would teach you much more, and be cheaper!

May i suggest you call the west cheshire college in the port.
I heard a 13 week photography course is starting on tuesday.
6pm - 9pm tuesdays and thursdays.


There may also be a portrait course starting next month starting in april at the boat museum ... cost £75 which includes a model.

Took a picture of one barge, took a picture of them all. They all look alike. Them models are ok but boring after a while.
