Car battery. Mobile Phone. Sensor.

A friend of mine got one from ebay years ago. It rings you and you can listen at the same time.

I cant think this early what the search was for to hook up on it.

Thats the style.
That one looks better than the one we had years ago.

Gave peace of mind.

Has the garage got mains power? You'll need to check the battery life of whatever you get if it hasn't.

One possibility would be to power it from the car battery, but that would mean plugging it in every time you garage it.

Neil States... "no electric in garage". This means no mains power.

Ah! I missed that. Sorry.

How practical is it then? Connecting to the car and buying batteries are both far from ideal solutions.

Using a car battery for power lasted for months, when we rigged one up. So only charging the Car battery once or twice a year.

The item above states.
Power Supply Voltage: 12 vdc 1Amp max
1 x DC DC lead to connect to Battery or Portable Power Supply

Its one of the better solutions to a location without power.

There are others out there.
I think at one point we contemplated hooking it up to the nearest lamp post. But decided not too in favour of the car battery.

Cheers been looking into this and you can get a solar panel to keep the car battery charged which would keep it topped up all the time for the alarm
