I've used Neil Hayes Painting and Decorating Ltd in the past and have always been very pleased with his work and prices. Whether he's available soon I don't know, but it won't hurt to phone. The number he has listed on his website is 0151 334 2984
Thanks everyone for your replies.

Dean did my frontroom yesterday and did a great job, did whole room in half a day.
That was painting ceiling doing the gloss and painting newly plastered walls.

Sounds too good to be true-- undercoat takes hours to dry so doubt they used that and new plaster needs at least 3 coats.
But true it is im afraid . Dont you think you sound really negative, as it was my house hhe did and I saw with my own eyes what he did and what he used. It was 4 coats he gave it actually.
Well paint all dry, and looking good now for carpet coming tomorrow.
Oooo... make sure he doesnt lay the carpet in less than a week. ;-)
95% of Deans work is on new build houses, so bare plaster, new skirting and so on, also you can buy something now that helps the paint to dry quicker.
The 2 hour thing is ages ago, technology has even caught up to paint too :-)
