I have 2 pocket watches - one is a Doxa and the other is a Waltham dating back to pre 1900's as they belonged to my great grandfather. Can anyone advise where I can take them either for sale or would anybody have any idea of watch specialists that I could contact with a view to selling them. They have all the hallmarks on them as well. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think Catherals in mill lane Wallasey do valuations' they are a long established family firm I think you can trust.

I can't help thinking that your best bet might be the Antiques Roadshow!

It might be worth emailing Sotheby's or Christie's auction houses, they have an online appraisal form you can fill in and send pictures of your items. They do take a few weeks to get back to you but they are generally very helpful. The Waltham watch would appear to be the most valuable of the two ...just by googling (I'm no expert but deal in antiques and collectibles)

Best of luck, it would be interesting to know how you get on smile
