Hi all this is my first post and i hope you can help. I am looking for info on a crime i think took place in queensbury gardens, a young lad that was, i think beaten to death by his girlfriends dad. I know this isn't much to go on but any info would be great thanks.

do you know what year? month? week? it might help people remember

All i know is it was about 1986 and the man that died was from the ford estate. A man named john murphy was arrested for it and they used to call him "Spud". Thanks for any help you can give.
