60 Hope St, about the best place on Christmas Day, other than being at home and arguing with inlaws and watching telly.

Hillbark, for all it's failings, actually had a pretty decent Xmas day package.

Hillbark is Wirral, Boris!

Well aware but to the best of my knowledge the Wallasey and Birkenhead tunnels don't shut for Christmas.

So do I. Ultimate live's in Wirral and is asking for places in Liverpool for Christmas Dinner. You suggested Hillbark, I said Hillbark was Wirral, you then said you had suggested it because the Birkenhead and Wallasey Tunnels were open. Think about it...............and then come back with an answer. I thought you had a degree!!

Point well made, Granny; I was thinking the same.
Oh, and a degree doesn't guarantee logical thought.

I am really impressed with Hanover Street Social Restaurant in Liverpool. It's near Liverpool One and Central Station.

Forty of us went for lunch a fortnight ago and we all said it was the best venue ever in the last ten years.

Normal lunch price is under £10 for two course lunch weekdays and £11.95 Sundays. Roast dinner was super. It's more now as Xmas menu.
Staff lovely and table cutlery, glasses and napkins good quality.Website but I am in hurry now to go out

There are a fwe places in town which are great. but depends what you are after? I homely pub type place or a swanky place. I see panoramic was mentioned. Fantastic place and I always take guests there when they are over as its amazing.

Liverpool has a great choice of places doing a Xmas lunch but I would imagine you will struggle to find many doing Xmas dinners in the evening.
Why not try The Manor or Grove house

We went out, as a family, to have Christmas dinner at Al Fresco in Birkenhead on Christmas Day 1974. It was absolutely excellent and I would strongly recommend it.
