Anyone know whats happened by the sandridge pub in rowson street.
road blocked off with blue tape and police cars?
All of New Brighton is inaccessible by car - Birkenhead Road, Brighton St, King Street, Rowson Street closed to traffic. Why couldn't they have used the prom? Lovely wide pedestrian route, but no, they have to close the roads. Idiots.
Someone on my FB is talking of a serious incident in the Ginny last night. Not sure if its true. The road closures should be over by about now.
There was a police incident in this area, forensics where there before, but they have all gone now.
It was nothing to do with marathon
Mixed messages coming in, from someone getting murdered to road closure for the races. All I know for sure is that the Ginny has been mentioned and it really wouldn't surprise me if something dreadful has happened there, what a proper drug den of iniquity that place has turned into!
what is the ginny?
i've never heard of such a place.
It's a local nickname for The Little Brighton Inn...
Thanks, never been in there.
My mum heard shouting in the night but just assumed it was the usual drunks walking round but never heard any sirens or anything so no idea what went on.
The Ginny used to be a great pub but over the past few years it has gone from bad to worse full of kids who are full of drugs. Sad really.
...incorrectly called the Ginny to be honest. The opera singer never stayed there. Some 250 pubs around the country were called after her at that time (c1842)... she must of moved about somewhat! But that's another story...and has nothing to do with the Marathon..
