Fireworks I think from the Mersey. Not sure what they are for though.

Fireworks in Liverpool

They are fireworks going off. We could see them by looking over New Ferry Park, towards the river. We assume they've been let off from the Liverpool side, as haven't heard about any events on the river today.

That's not juicy enough, what about the SAS are clearing a pub out full of tattooed people.

think it will be for the destroyer HMS Dragon that's moored up in Liverpool, it leaves tomorrow.

Heard them in Thingwall.
Have never before heard fireworks going off in Liverpool or on the Mersey although we are able to see them. Too far away. Maybe it was due to wind!

Think I'll steer clear of Thingwall if they have explosive wind...

we were on New Brighton beach last night & there was a firework display going on.

Nice. Very nice. We could have done with that sort of thoughtful design on the Bidston Tip area & associated lake. The Bidston area is OK, but is visually a bit sterile.
