Afternoon Sarah , it`s not about the cost of a hair do it`s all about experience with(your hair type )and products they use .In my book you get what you pay for and if it`s cheap so are the products and experience ,if you want your hair nice you won`t get it with a cheap/cut price job .I go to the market for fresh veg ?fish and probably the odd top ,hair done no way

well if everyone only went to the experienced hairdresses the newly qualified would never get experience behind them, everyone has to start somewhere

My dad used to cut my brothers hair and just wet the curly bits and slapped them down flat on there heads raftl he used to shout on them and say time for a Tammy rump.
One thing they allways looked smart.

So, this £2.50 haircut isn't actually real then? Several people have asked you where this Salon is? Why haven't you told them?
I would assume you are referring to a 'fringe trim' or something like that??

Where?????????
Posted By: RUDEBOX Re: Hairdressers - 18th Apr 2012 11:09pm
Terribly frustating aint it. Where is this cheap n cheerful Salon?
Posted By: Wench Re: Hairdressers - 18th Apr 2012 11:57pm
I've had bad experiences with the likes of mobile hairdressers (and some top salons too), so would only trust a few select places to get within snipping distance of my locks!!

Last thing I want is to end up with green hair because some idiot thinks they know what they're doing! I'd rather pay top whack smile
Posted By: TheDr Re: Hairdressers - 19th Apr 2012 12:15am
I agree, like most things, you get what you pay for.

I like "Suede" in Bebington, it's not the cheapest, but I've certainly been in far more expensive that have done a worse job.

In Suede they do look after you and it's not just an in-rush-out job.

When I first went in to have my hair done (which was almost down to my waist at the time), they kept asking "now are you sure......."

In H2H, waiting for my dry cut, all the hairdressers were huddled around a young girl who had had highlights, that day. She didnt want a trim coz it she had just had a trim from a 'posh' hairdresser (the last week or so).
I sat and watched, as i waited and even I could see that the pre-haircut was shit! Grim. H2H had to cut the girls hair so that she didnt look like a Leapord, due to the shite cut.

Expensive is not always best in my experience.
Posted By: Sarah_ZR Re: Hairdressers - 19th Apr 2012 7:38am
Expensive cheap who cares?

It's the hairdresser and experience not cost

Believe me I know!

I tried the college lots of times - hair just grows again. Anyway, all my cuts, perms and highlights were checked by the lecturers before leaving. I did opt for level 2 or 3 - level 1 are only learning. Reasonably priced. The last cut was by a level 3 who now is a stylist in a hairdressers.
