Hi all. Wondering if someone can shed some light on something.

Was there a statue of John laird at some point in the square iv seen a few pictures with it on there. It shows it as being on the right hand side of the square if you have your back to the town hall.

See it today the immediate square is protected but the same
Building types down argyle street have been altered
And also it runs down into Hamilton square train station. How was the square pring ally
Meant to look and have some buildings been knocked down?

The John Laird statue was originally in front of the town hall, but was moved to make way for the cenotaph after the First World War.
