Can anyone tell me if there is a contact number for these local historians please ?

A) Greg Dawson of Irby

B) Kenneth Burnley of Irby

Also trying to find a Will of Miss Elizabeth Wade from the Wade family of Thingwall House, who was 58yrs in 1851.

A bit sketchy but can anyone help with this ?

Granny,

Did she die in 1851 and she was 58 years old?

If that's the case, there's no registered death in Cheshire to fit.

Elizabeth Wade, bn 1791,Liverpool, aged 60.

No Bert, sorry. That is the age of her in the year 1851 so was born 1793 or there about.
I can't pinpoint a death for her, nor a birth. She was Miss also, so no marriage either.

1861, still in Thingwall, address given as private house, enumerated very close to Thingwall Hall,

Thomas Lyon 72 Shoe Maker
Margaret Lyon 82
Ann Jackson 47
Thomas Jackson 22
John Jackson 18
Elizabeth Wade 73 unmarried, Lodger

Don't take her age as gospel, very often its a guess by the person giving the information to the enumerator.

Chris....Thingwall Hall was on the land by the Thingwall roundabout. Where the flats are built.
Thingwall House, was the corner of Mill Lane/Pensby Road, which is a stones throw away from where Thingwall Hall was.

A most interesting article granny. Thanks. Such a pity so many interesting "ordinary" houses in and around Thingwall have been demolished as well as the hall.

Progress eh? Mmmmmm.
