Just a quick shout out for the Wirral archives service.

Went there the other day and found exactly what I was after.

The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
I have only used the house plans searches but they hold title deeds, rate books, maps, census records and street directories. All available to view.

I'm sure most who visit the history forum are well aware of them but thought it worth a mention.

Wonder if it will close ,with all the cuts along with day centres,sports centres libraries, in fact everything .......don't worry though the council wants to build a new golf club .".you lucky people
