Granny I've been reading though some of the page on there, can you or anyone tell me why when referring to a male they call him (her) like: Mr John Smith and her children?

Haven't got a clue.
Could it be Mrs John Smith, as that would be the oorrect way of addressing a lady who was still married or still had a living husband? It still is, I think.

it just funny seeing it like that, when you know its a males name then see her.

I was looking up my street it come up was someone who never took the kid to school. and looks like my surname comes up a lot frown

I would recommend reading the section about the Ragged School in Liverpool. Its heart breaking and had me in tears.
