Did you notice the cigarette machine, mounted on the wall, outside a shop?

That would probably last about 5 minutes, these days...!!!!???

They were regularly vandalised in the 70s as well. but they made things from sterner stuff back then.

I have the dvd, just over an hour and a half. A collection of clips from Wirral starting from the 1900's all the way through the decades up to the 1990's. Made by Angus Tilston. Think the dvd is called Wirral past. If anybody is interested in it let me know.

the poulton road shops are between clarence rd and york rd.
