Flaybrick Reservoir

Well it looks old and i guess there has to be some history associated with it.
I think the car park area is up for sale, the land fairly close anyway.

Is is just the car park that up for sale, I can't find anything on the developers website and no one appears to of applied for planning for it?

I had feared that the whole allotments were going to be torn up!

I went to Birkenhead School; it had frontages on Bidston Rd. & Shrewsbury Rd. The space between was playing field. It's still there & thriving.
B.I. must be Birkenhead Institute; my brother went there when it was on Whetstone Lane, opposite Derby Rd. It later moved to Tollemache Rd., but I don't know if it still exists.

Cheers, Chris.

BI is long gone. It had a terrible reputation and probably spawned several generations of lads who ended up on remand! My brother went there and hated it, but he turned out ok lol.
It was knocked down due to 'subsidence'. Wilfred Owen Drive now sits on the site. I'm surprised they built anything on this land considering it was marshy on 1870 map and a school was falling into it by 1993 when it closed.
