Myp2p requires the installation of Sopbox before it can work. I used it to watch the Ricky Hatton fight. Sopbox is p2p.

UK Nova only places delays on users that have seed ratio's of less then 90%, in other words leechers. It is fair because if you are happy to share, you will get instant downloads at frightning speeds. If you are just there to leech, then they make you wait. p2p only works if people share, and this is one of the reasons the download speeds on UK Nova are insanely fast, because they essentially force people to share.

My share ration on UK Nova is at 205 atm (ive shared 2x what ive leached) and all I do is leave BT running in the background whenever my laptop is on. Its setup to start when windows starts, and just keeps my score up quite happily without me even noticing. I have it uncapped most of the time, only takes 1 second to lower it if I need to hammer the upload etc...

BBC iPlayer also does allow streaming now, WITHOUT the requirement of installing the iPlayer library on your computer. Its not very reliable atm, even though its out of BETA as of tomorrow, they reguarly miss episodes out and all The capping is still done manually so there can be errors, which are not rectified at a later date, whereas such errors on the likes of UK Nova etc can be.

I love the iPlayer, 95% of the time its the best thing since Sky+. They just need to improve reliability of the service. When they had website problems a couple of months back, it took them days to get the content back online, not good!

ITV have recently fixed their DRM issues which was not allowing users to playback content, but it took them 4 months to do so. Also, many shows may not be listed till the day after, but its easy to change the video stream codes and get the program you want within hours of it being shown on TV.

ITV.com will also allow you to watch the ITV channels live as well as on demand, except for things like champions leagure football etc...
